No, all religions are about getting followers. Thus you have to attract every kind of person, even the "hah, I'm better than you" ones. This is usually accomplished by throwing in something about the specific religion being better than the rest, or even the only path so salvation. Christianity: "No one reaches the father except through me" (or something to that extent). Islam: Well just look at the confession "there is none to be worshipped but Allah, and Mohammed is his prophet", there yo go. Hinduism? "Krishnas tu bhagavan svayam" ("Krishna is the supreme personality of Godhead"), first verse of the srimad-bhagavatam.
So all religions try to attract all kinds of people. You can really interpret any religious text into meaning anything you like, by picking and choosing. For example, if you prefer atheism, go to Ecclesiastes chapter 9.
